OKC Memorial Marathon
Celebrating 20 years in 2020
The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is a signature OKC event bringing together athletes and spectators from all over the world to honor those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever by the tragic events of the Oklahoma City bombing – 25 years ago this year. It is a wonderful analogy of the character of our people, the history of our trials and difficulties and the way in which we have overcome and persevered. From its inaugural race in 2001 with just shy of 5,000 participants, the event now hosts over 23,000 runners and walkers from every state and several foreign countries. The mission of the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is to celebrate life, reach for the future, honor the memories of those who were killed and unite the world in hope. This is not just another marathon. It is a #RuntoRemember – and a race to show that we can each make a difference and change the world.
